THE BIGGER PICTURE
Brentford's stature as a club has sky-rocketed in recent years. In under two decades they have risen from League Two to regular mid-table finishes in the Premier League, even despite major, regular departures throughout; including those of David Raya, Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney. The Bees remain just outside the hunt for European qualification but, should they continue to make consistent improvements, it won't be long before they are in and around the conversation.

Should they take all three points, they will move within eight points of their local rivals and open up the chase for European qualification. Although, for the moment, it is unlikely they will be documenting that progress in a style.
